Movimiento Teatro from Mexico City will perform Saturday (Oct. 15) at 7 p.m. at the Astor Theatre on Day 2 of our festival.

This award-winning troupe from Mexico City is back after a successful run at our 2018 festival with a meta-theatrical play within a play, Audicion para la Guillotina.

A theatre troupe is rehearsing for its next play, The Guillotine, while a behind-the-scenes love triangle plays out on stage. While the props are sparse, the action and intrigue will be engrossing.

And Little Norfolk Theatre from Norfolk, Virginia, will take to the stage at 8:30 p.m. for their interpretation of the classic fairy tale, The Commedia Rapunzel

This all-ages story of good versus evil will delight with its universal themes, clever stagecraft and panoply of classic characters.

You can still buy tickets at the Astor Theatre box office in person, or by calling 902-354-5250, or via Ticketpro using this link.
