LIVERPOOL INTERNATIONAL THEATRE FESTIVAL

October 17-20th 2024 ~ Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Canada
The Liverpool International Theatre Festival (LITF) is a biennial adjudicated amateur theatre festival event that takes place in Liverpool, Nova Scotia in the historic Astor Theatre. LITF is a competitive festival, of one-act plays, run under the rules of IATA. Plays must be between 25-55 minutes in length. LITF is an inclusive event and welcomes delegates from all ethnicities, spiritual beliefs, and genders.

Additional information:
- Who can we bring with us if we are selected to perform? Delegates are limited to 10 people, only 3 of whom can be technical. If a company wants to exceed these limits, they must have prior approval from the LITF organizers.
- Where can we stay when we come to Liverpool? International and out-of-province companies participating in the festival are offered accommodation in private homes, free of charge, for up to 5 nights. This arrangement is normally limited to ten persons from each participating group, whether they are actors, directors, or technicians. Companies from Nova Scotia are not typically offered billets but will be considered if a request is expressed.
- What costs are involved with participating in the festival? Participants from outside Nova Scotia pay for:
- All travel costs between their home and Halifax’s Stanfield International Airport
- Any spending money for alcohol and any other incidentals
