  • Festival 2010 wrapped up on Sunday night with a splendid Gala at the Best Western in Liverpool, capping off one of most successful LITF Festivals ever held. The LITF Organizing Committee is already looking ahead to Festival 2012.
  • Festival 2010 awards were handed out at the Sunday night Closing Ceremonies. For a list of award winners, click here.
  • We have the latest news on the Iranian troupe. Their Visas were denied, and therefore are not able to attend the festival. However, we have a replacement show. Our friends from Algeria, Theatre Ibn Sina, will perform in Iran’s place.
  • The Jester Fish mascot is making an appearance at the Superstore and Sobey’s in Liverpool tomorrow! Keep a look out!!
  • Iran was not able to secure travel visas, and therefore can’t make it to LITF 2010.  We are very sorry they have to be excluded from the program.
  • The entertainment lineup at LITF 2010 is going to be spectacular! We'll have DJ Cam on Wednesday and Thursday, Charlie A'Court on Friday night ($5), Hal Bruce on Saturday night ($5), and the Hupman Brothers for the Gala on Sunday ($20). View the program here.

  • Individual tickets go on sale today, Monday, May 3rd at the Astor Theatre, www.astortheatre.ns.ca or by phone 902-354-5250.
  • News update:  Iran was not able to secure travel visas, and therefore can’t make it to LITF 2010.  We are very sorry they have to be excluded from the program.
  • Congratulations to our Saltscapes contest winners Doug and Vicki Murray of Dartmouth. The Murrays have won four nights accommodation at the Best Western Liverpool, and two all-access passes to LITF.
  • Look for the Funky Fish mascot appearing at Saltscapes Expo on Saturday, May 1st.
  • The Winds of Change / Wales play, Last Tango in Liverpool has been cast, and the experiment is ready. The cast will learn their lines, but won’t actually start rehearsals with director Neil Maidman until the week of the festival. The play will be performed on Saturday afternoon.
  • Keep on the lookout for the Jester Fish mascot, being unveiled this year!
  • Deck the halls with....fish?! Download the funky fish from the LITF website and decorate your home or business. Show your LITF spirit!
  • Festival Club entertainment this year includes: DJ Cam and Hal Bruce!
  • Join us for late night socializing at Lane’s Privateer Inn, starting at midnight on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during the festival (May 20 – 22). Anything could happen when you’re Late Night Jammin’ at Lane’s!
  • LITF will be giving one local youth a scholarship to attend the drama camp at the Astor Theatre this summer. This year’s recipient of the award will be announced during the festival.
  • June 14, 2009 – the deadline for applications for LITF 2010
  • November 30, 2009 – Christmas LITF subscription packages are now on sale through the Astor Theatre for only $125
  • January 15, 2010 – Christmas promotion deadline extended until January 31, 2010. Subscriptions are still $125 for the next 2 weeks.
